Day 2: Trek to Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine

After an early breakfast, begin your spiritual trek to the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine, located approximately 12 kilometers uphill from Katra. You can either undertake the journey on foot, hire ponies, or take the helicopter service (optional). The trek is filled with devotional energy, and as you ascend, you’ll be greeted with scenic views and rest stops along the way.

Upon reaching the Bhawan, seek blessings from Mata Vaishno Devi, and if time permits, you can also visit the Bhairon Temple, located 2 kilometers from the main shrine. It is believed that the pilgrimage is complete only after visiting the Bhairon Temple.
